What's on offer
The Shearers Cottage, views from hammock on the veranda, overlooking farmland and seawards towards the Cavalli Island. Inside, comfy couch & day bed, art filled walls, books to devour, wifi and very comfortable beds, a simple but well equipped kitchen & basic bathroom. Easy access to Matauri Bay for diving, fishing, surfing or just chilling plus many more magical beaches in Whaingaroa and more. Enjoy the serenity or venture further afield for amazing beaches, bush, landmarks and local history. Dogs welcome

'Brilliant location. Lovely view, peaceful and quiet. 2mins drive to matauri bay and about 7mins drive to mahinepua walking track. Cottage is really well equipped. Plenty of glasses, crockery and cutlery. Beds are comfy. Decent hot shower. They have a “rainy day” drawer which we didn’t need but I thought it was a lovely touch. This is perfect location for kayakers to head out to the Cavellis…we had a great couple days and will be back!' 10/10 Victoria, NZ

'Everything. It had all the things I needed for a weekend get away and could suit two couples or a small group of friends. The small touches of tea, coffee, cooking oil and spices being available for use was super helpful, along with having handy small appliances and cleaning equipment and products to keep the please tidy and clean was super helpful. A superb location with friendly guardians (dogs), with a gorgeous view out to Motukawanui and Motukawaiti off the deck - i will be returning!. 9/10 Hope, NZ
